Republican House members from the Midwest and parts of California and Texas represented the nation's 10 top-selling districts for agricultural commodities in 2022, according to new data published by the National Agricultural Statistics Service.

Nebraska's 3rd District, a seat currently held by Republican Adrian Smith, tops the list, with 34,297 farms selling more than $22.9 billion worth of agricultural products, according to the 2022 ag census. The survey is conducted every five years. 

Iowa's 4th District, represented by Republican Randy Feenstra, sits at second, with sales of $22.1 billion, followed by Republican Tracey Mann's Kansas district, the Big First, at $17.9 billion. 

Next on the list is Minnesota's 7th District, represented by Republican Michelle Fischbach, with $15.3 billion in sales. The state-encompassing districts in North and South Dakota, represented by Republicans Kelly Armstrong and Dusty Johnson, each account for over $12 billion in sales and are ranked fifth and sixth.

John Duarte's California district, Ashley Hinson's Iowa district, Brad Finstad's Minnesota district and Ronny Jackson's Texas district round out the rest of the top 10.  

The 21 highest-selling districts are, or were, represented by Republicans. Colorado's 4th District, which sits at 19 with nearly $6 billion in sales, has been unrepresented since the departure of former congressman Ken Buck in March. California's 18th district, represented by Democrat Zoe Lofgren, is 22nd on the list.

North Dakota received by far the largest amount of government payments in 2022 at $1.03 billion, followed by South Dakota at $744 million and Montana's 2nd District at $444 million.
