The Agriculture Department will continue to accept census questionnaires through the spring, even though the official deadline for responses was Feb. 6.
More than a million producers have completed the survey so far, National Agricultural Statistics Service Administrator Hubert Hamer said in a release Wednesday.
"We want all producers to use their voices to help shape the future of American agriculture," Hamer said.
Producers are required by law to complete the survey, which is conducted every five years. NASS plans to reach out to producers through mailings, phone calls and personal visits.
Producers can complete the survey online at agcounts.usda.gov or by mail.
