Agri-Pulse is pleased to announce Haley Bickelhaupt will join the team’s Washington staff as a summer intern.
Bickelhaupt, a junior majoring in agricultural journalism at the University of Illinois, will serve as a key member of the Agri-Pulse team in 2022 by covering hearings and events and contributing to the company’s online print, audio and video content as well as its signature subscription-only newsletter.
“As we got to know Haley during our selection process, she emerged as a leading candidate with her understanding of agriculture and talent for storytelling,” said Agri-Pulse Founder and President Sara Wyant. “We always enjoy working with the next generation of agricultural journalists and we’re excited to add Haley to that list.”
Bickelhaupt has worked with the Illinois Public Media Student Newsroom, where she produced print and audio stories on a wide variety of topics. She has also worked with the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine as a communications department intern as well as a marketing intern for Trans Ova Genetics.
