Agri-Pulse is pleased to announce that Corryn La Rue has joined our Washington staff as a summer intern.

La Rue, who was raised on a family farm in Central California, will enter her senior year in the fall at Utah State University where she is majoring in agriculture communications and journalism. In the past she has interned with American General Media and as a multimedia reporter with AgNet West.

“Corryn knows her way around a farm and around a newsroom,” said Agri-Pulse Editor Sara Wyant. “She is sure to be a big help to our Washington operation in the coming months.”

La Rue grew up caring for and showing cattle, goats and pigs at county fairs through 4-H and FFA. She also worked as a wrangler at Western cookouts, driving wagonloads of guests up mountain roads, and caring for the draft horses when the cookouts were over.

"This is a wonderful opportunity and I'm looking forward to an exciting and rewarding summer," La Rue said. "Agri-Pulse does a great job covering the world of agriculture and being a part of that coverage has been a goal of mine. I'm excited to be here."
