A group of House Republicans is urging the president to keep U.S. ag producers front of mind as he pursues more reciprocity in U.S. trade relationships and ensure tariffs are paired with negotiations to open new markets.
U.S. ag groups flagged non-reciprocal tariff rates and trade barriers and weighed in on the design of new duties and what the U.S. should do with the revenue in submissions to trade officials.
House Republicans are moving forward with their proposed budget plan today, despite continued pushback from hardline conservatives. The draft budget resolution that the Budget Committee will debate today calls for $1.5 trillion in spending cuts and $4.5 trillion in tax cuts.
