Senate Agriculture Committee members on Tuesday wrestled with the question of whether whole and reduced fat milk should be offered in school cafeterias.
Senate Agriculture Committee Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., objected to an attempt from Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kan., seeking unanimous consent on the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act that passed in the House on Wednesday.
Bipartisan members of the House voted 330-99 in support of the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act allowing whole milk and 2% milk to again be allowed in school lunches.
