Nine Republican lawmakers are seeking additional insight into the USDA’s $45.6 million investment in Pure Prairie Poultry, which closed early this month, and the steps the agency has taken to help growers.
USDA will begin accepting applications for $100 million in grants to fund transportation fueling and fuel distribution facilities for higher blends of ethanol and biodiesel.
The Department of Agriculture plans to distribute some $633 million in loans and grants aimed at bolstering rural power infrastructure and making higher blends of biofuels more available to consumers.
