Lawmakers looking for the best ways to prepare for more potentially grueling fire seasons are pushing the Forest Service to take a closer look at what it can do to contain fires on public lands.
The panel charged with addressing farm and food policy in the House of Representatives is adding four new Democrats and bringing one more member with previous experience back to the committee.
