Farm Hands West: Anderson tapped as Chamber water issues advocate; American Floral Endowment elections; Duarte names new COS

The California Chamber of Commerce added Kristopher Anderson to staff as a water issues policy advocate. Anderson was most recently with the Association of California Water Agencies. The Napa County Farm Bureau hired Peter Rumble as CEO.


McHutchison and Vaughan’s Horticulture recently added three members to the sales team: Michelle Roman,Bob Steinlage, Angie Munroe. Wish Farms promoted James Peterson to chief operating officer. Russell Stokes joined Casper’s Ice Cream, a subsidiary of MidOcean Partners, as CEO.

Amy France was elected chairwoman of the National Sorghum Producers board of directors at the board’s annual meeting.Garret Love, Barry Evans, and Dustin Borden were also elected as new board members. Allison Starmann joined the American Beverage Association as general counsel and executive vice president of legal and regulatory affairs.

Farm Hands West: Quiñonez to join California Advocates; IFPA slates 2025 BOD; USApple elections

California Advocates added Adam Quiñonez to staff as managing director. The International Fresh Produce Association announced the 2025 board of directors slate to be confirmed by a ballot at the 2024 Global Fresh Produce Floral show. Rebecca Meyers joined Honeybear Brands as national sales director. Brett Baker, president of United Apple Sales, will serve as USApple board chair.

Rod Snyder is departing from his post as top agriculture advisor at the Environmental Protection Agency. Senate Ag Committee Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., named Emily Carwell as chief of staff in her personal office. Jason Smith joined Valent U.S.A. as vice president of sales. The Mushroom Council tapped Amy Wood as president and CEO. Stephanie Pizzoferrato joined CropLife America as director of state government relations.
