WASHINGTON, Feb. 2, 2017 - The Agriculture Department (USDA) has announced speakers for the 2017 Agricultural Outlook Forum, A New Horizon: The Future of Agriculture, which will be held Feb. 23–24, at the Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel in Arlington, Virginia.

The Forum is intended as a platform to facilitate conversation on key issues and topics within the agricultural community, including producers, processors, policy makers, government officials and both foreign and domestic non-government organizations.

House Ag Committee Chairman Mike Conaway will provide a keynote speech and American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duval will be the distinguished dinner speaker.

Sara Wyant, president of Agri-Pulse Communications, will moderate a panel of industry leaders on finance, marketing, input supplies and trade.

During the opening plenary, USDA Chief Economist Robert Johansson will present the 2017 Outlook for Agriculture.

Now in its 93rd year, the Agricultural Outlook Forum is the USDA’s largest annual meeting. The event attracts more than 1,800 attendees, USDA says.

Along with the plenary panel discussion, attendees can choose from some 30 sessions with more than 80 speakers and a host of agriculture-related exhibits.
