USDA is planning to appoint five members to five-year terms on the 15-member National Organic Standards Board.

The terms would start in January 2025.

The board was created by Congress to set standards allowed in organic production and to advise the secretary of agriculture on implementation of the Organic Foods Production Act of 1990.
