The International Trade Commission has begun an investigation into whether low-priced imports of 2,4-D are causing "material injury" to the U.S. manufacturer of the product, Corteva Agriscience.
China and India have increased exports of the herbicide to the U.S. while at the same time dropping their prices, Corteva said in filing petitions with the ITC this month.

The ITC’s Office of Investigations will hold a staff conference April 4 on the preliminary phase of the investigation.
Shipments from the two countries made up 81% of all the imports of 2,4-D into the U.S. in 2023, Corteva said in its filing, which covers 2021-2023 and seeks antidumping duties and countervailing duties. The imports have cut into both sales and market share for Corteva, the company said.
