USDA has updated crop insurance options in order to reach more swine, dairy and cattle producers through the Dairy Revenue Protection (DRP), Livestock Gross Margin (LGM), and Livestock Risk Protection (LRP) programs.
USDA’s Risk Management Agency is taking action to reduce the impact on milk producers of recent market disruptions that have caused some producers to dump their product.
USDA has approved the sale of the first revenue protection insurance policy for dairy producers, allowing them to buy coverage for the first quarter of 2019.
