The ongoing legal and regulatory battles over the use of Roundup, one of the most widely-used crop protection products in U.S. history, is taking on some new twists.
The multibillion-dollar settlement Bayer announced in June to resolve thousands of Roundup cancer cases is stalled, lawyers said Thursday during a status conference before a federal judge.
A California appeals court has upheld a verdict against Bayer in the first case before a trial court that examined the question of whether Roundup causes cancer in humans.
