Rural America has been hit hard by the opioid epidemic, and sheriffs say drug intervention centers can be the solution to lower overdose deaths that are consuming people of all ages and demographic groups.
The opioid crisis is putting pressure on state foster care systems already at or near capacity, and taxing limited government resources, according to a report by The Hill newspaper.
