The Assembly heard two days of testimony on the many problems facing California and the planet when it comes to packaging made up of single-use plastics.
Lawmakers debated late into the night over two bills that would set aggressive goals for reducing single-use plastics for food containers, beverages and other consumer products.
The California Assembly’s natural Resources Committee voted 6-3 to advance a proposed bill that eyes ways to cut greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in residential and non-residential buildings.
