USDA’s Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities Program can help lead the world in adopting sustainable agricultural practices, says Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack.
The U.S. agricultural industry had a successful sojourn in Dubai, with dozens of industry and government officials bringing the message that farmers can address climate change using a “climate-smart” approach that does not sacrifice production.
Agriculture has played a prominent role at the United Nations climate conference, where a broad range of companies, groups and governments have been discussing issues ranging from reparations for climate damage to the role of livestock in contributing to and perhaps even mitigating the problem.
