USDA is increasing the amount of funding available for the Spot Market Hog Pandemic Program (SMHPP) to help pork producers who were hard hit during the pandemic.

Producers who sold hogs during 2020 could be eligible for assistance under a $50 million program rolled out Monday by the Department of Agriculture.
