Agricultural lenders in the Farm Credit System must have a plan of action on how they will service and enhance their relationships with young, beginning and small (YBS) farmers as part of a rule approved this fall by the Farm Credit Administration board.
The Agriculture Department is providing $530 million in additional payments to farmers holding Farm Service Agency loans who are considered to be at financial risk.
USDA is making $1 billion in loan guarantees available “to help rural businesses meet their working capital needs during the coronavirus pandemic,” the department said Thursday.
