The Iowa Hunger Summit is a free, public event held each year to bring together hundreds of Iowans from across the state representing community organizations, business and industry, state and local government, social agencies, churches and religious communities, academia and other groups that lead or participate in projects to eradicate hunger. The event will feature speakers and panel sessions with leaders and experts in confronting hunger and food insecurity through a variety of lenses.
The annual meeting of the Agricultural & Applied Economics Association will include more than 150 educational sessions on research topics such as international development, climate change, biofuels, linkages between food and health, the farm bill, land use and water resource issues, regional economics, economics and behavioral economics.

The International Association for Food Protection hosts an annual meeting, providing attendees with information on current and emerging food safety issues, the latest science, innovative solutions to new and recurring problems, and the opportunity to network with thousands of food safety professionals from around the globe.
This is the fertilizer industry's largest meeting, providing scholarships, grants and research funding for the industry. It attracts upper-level management and sales personnel representing fertilizer manufacturers, distributors, brokers and dealers. Individuals will attend from all areas of the United States and Canada, with some participation from Europe, South America and Asia. The established purpose of the meeting is educational. However, networking is probably considered the main attraction for most of the attendees.
