Those who rely on our national forests for jobs and tax revenue must figure out how to more effectively make the case for forest management and federal appropriations to a larger audience.
It takes fewer and fewer farmers and ranchers to feed the nation. That means less people with a connection to, and knowledge of, agriculture. It also means fewer Members of Congress who represent agriculture districts.
