Facing a $54.3 billion deficit, California lawmakers checked their “to do” list earlier this week and approved a new budget just ahead of the June 15 constitutional deadline.
Gov. Gavin Newsom added two leaders from the California agricultural community to his 80-member economic recovery task force and Scott Horsfall announces his retirement from the California Leafy Greens Marketing Agreement.
The state is still under stay-at-home orders except for essential workers. But California Governor Gavin Newsom unveiled a new decision-making framework that will eventually get children back to school, non-essential employees back to work and allow more businesses to operate.
