LONDON, Oct. 4, 2017 - The International Hydropower Association (IHA) board approved a program of research and activities which involve clean energy, climate, sediment management and modernization. “Over the next two years I expect IHA to remain the world’s leading, go-to organization on sustainable hydropower development,” said board member Carbine Sohaila, group chief executive of Sarawak Energy. IHA is developing new guidelines and tools for companies and investors based on the Hydropower Sustainability Assessment Protocol, which Suhaili feels will be “deemed green” by financial institutions and host governments.
