KAZAKHSTAN, September 13, 2017 - Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kanat Bozumbayev and U.S. Deputy Secretary of Energy Dan Brouillette signed a joint statement aiming to strengthen relations between the two countries in regard to energy. The sides discussed issues of expansion of bilateral cooperation, enhancing energy security, and ensuring economic growth of the two countries. The statement includes nuclear security, atomic industry, oil and gas, renewable energy and electricity. The partnership came about as the official U.S. delegation met with Bozumbayev in Astana at EXPO 2017.
