WASHINGTON, August 30, 2017 - The American Biogas Council is preparing for its 17th Annual Conference Oct. 16-19 in Portland, Oregon. The event, billed as Biocycle REFOR (Renewable Energy from Organics Recycling), will include exhibits and networking opportunities. Among keynote speakers are: Ruchi Sadhir, energy policy adviser to Oregon Gov. Kate Brown; Cheryl T. Coleman, director of Resource Conservation and Sustainability Division, Environmental Protection Agency; and David Montgomery, professor of geomorphology, University of Washington MacArthur Fellow and author of "Growing a Revolution." Nominations for Biogas Industry Awards are due by Sept. 1. Award categories include biogas project of the year, longevity award, innovation of the year, biogas visionary and friend of the ABC. Awards will be presented at a dinner on Oct. 17.
