WASHINGTON, July 19, 2017 - A draft report detailing findings from the power grid analysis says “the power system is more reliable today due to better planning, market discipline, and better operating rules and standards.” Bloomberg reported on the findings, contrasting them to statements made earlier this year by Energy Secretary Rick Perry, in which he claimed renewable energies eroded baseload power. Perry ordered the power grid study in April. An official report could be released this week.
