WASHINGTON, May 21, 2015 – Dana Brooks, formerly the director of government affairs for Elanco Animal Health, has been hired by Land O’Lakes Inc. as its senior director of state affairs and industry relations.
Brooks starts the new job May 28 and will be working primarily out of Land O’Lakes’ corporate headquarters in Arden Hills, Minnesota, according to Autumn Veazey, the company’s vice president of government relations.
Veazey said Brooks will be providing leadership for developing Land O'Lakes’ strategy on key issues through grassroots efforts and coordinated action by industry associations, local staff and state contract lobbyists. She will also be helping to build support for the Land O’Lakes PAC among member-owners and staff through fundraising activities, communication materials and member visits.
Brooks’ experience includes more than 20 years in the agriculture industry covering areas of production, consulting, managing, marketing and lobbying, Veazey said. She has worked on legislative policy issues that include agriculture, nutrition, environment, energy, finance, animal health and trade. She has also worked for the National Milk Producers Federation and has experience with Florida Farm Bureau Federation and American Farm Bureau Federation.
