WASHINGTON, April 22, 2014 – Senator John Boozman, R-Ark., underwent emergency heart surgery at an Arkansas hospital this morning and “is receiving excellent care,” according to a statement from his office. Boozman is a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee.
The Northwest Arkansas Business Journal reports that Boozman, 63, was taken to the emergency room by ambulance. A source told the paper the surgery was “uneventful” and that Boozman is expected to make a full recovery.#30
