The Montana Grazing Lands Coalition has hired Megan Terry as executive director. She was most recently a working lands program manager for Western Landowners Alliance and owns her own business, Lazy Remuda Marketing. Terry previously worked at USDA as a rangeland management and grazing lands specialist. 

California Gov. Gavin Newson appointed Hernan Hernandez of Bakersfield and Rolston St. Hilaire of Clovis to the State Board of Food and Agriculture. Hernandez, previously executive director of the California Farmworker Foundation for seven years, is deputy director of government relations and strategic development at Kern Health Systems. St. Hilaire has been the dean of agriculture at Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, California State University, Fresno, since 2022. St. Hilaire is president-elect of the American Society for Horticulture Science, a member of the board of the Fresno Economic Development Corp., and a member of the California Agricultural Leadership Foundation. The positions do not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. 

CropLife America added Victoria Yell as a science policy fellow. She recently earned a doctorate in plant biology from North Carolina State University.

USDA named 27 new members to its Task Force on Agricultural Air Quality Research. The group examines the intersection of agriculture and air quality and advises the secretary on solutions to improve air quality. Among them are Frank Mitloehner, an extension air quality specialist at the University of California, Davis; Sheryl Magzamen, professor at Colorado State University whose research focuses on how social factors and environmental exposures contribute to chronic disease; and Lara Moody, executive director at the Institute for Feed Education and Research. A list of members is here

Lewis worked at USDA, EPA, NIH and as director of policy and advocacy for seeds and traits at Bayer Crop Science. 

The Irrigation Association named Luke Reynolds associate director of government and public affairs. He will support policy and public affairs initiatives with focus on state and local issues.

Trevor Reuschel, former chief of staff for then-Rep. Cheri Bustos, D-Illinois, joined ADM as vice president of federal government relations. He previously worked at USDA and was director of congressional and public affairs at the Farm Credit Administration. 

EPA appointed 18 new members and reappointed six to its Farm, Ranch and Rural Communities Advisory Committee. Beth Sauerhaft of the American Farmland Trust will remain chair and Michael Crowder from Ducks Unlimited will be vice chair. A full list of committee members is here

Ruth Bradley was promoted to director of federal government affairs at Tyson Foods. She was senior manager of federal government relations after 11 years at Tyson. 

Teddy Tanzer left as senior counsel on the House Energy and Commerce Committee Republican staff to become senior director at Invariant. 

Randy Duckworth has been appointed executive director of the Specialty Soya and Grains Alliance, effective Jan. 6. He has held positions with the International Agri-Food Network and the Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Legume Systems Research at Michigan State University. He succeeds Eric Wenberg, who retired in September after leading the organization for its first five and a half years.

The World Food Prize Foundation announced that former Iowa Gov. and U.S. Ambassador to China Terry Branstad will retire as its president Jan. 31 and be succeeded by Mashal Husain, now the group's chief operating officer. The foundation, based in Des Moines, Iowa, said it would conduct a global search to fill a newly created chief executive officer position. 

Haley Bickelhaupt started as a multimedia journalist at WQAD News in Moline, Illinois. She worked for Illinois Corn Growers as policy communications manager and interned with Agri-Pulse

IntelliTrans tapped Matt Everson as senior vice president of sales and marketing. He previously worked in marketing and sales at Freightwise, Kewill, Oracle and Infor.
