The Cal/OSHA Bureau of Investigations is adding eight investigative staffers and one chief investigator, and also seeking a northern California supervising special investigator, the California Department of Industrial Relations announced.
The new staff will work out of enforcement offices in Redding, Sacramento, Oakland, Modesto, Fresno, Bakersfield and San Diego. DIR is hoping to recruit an additional investigator in Santa Barbara or Riverside.

Cal/OSHA is responsible for investigating workplace injuries. This special unit investigates the most serious complaints and can make recommendations in criminal prosecution procedures.
