USDA's Risk Management Agency is expanding the grapevine insurance program beginning in 2025, following feedback from industry stakeholders.

The program will now pay for losses across an additional 29 California counties and covers vines grafted between six to 12 months. This includes damage due to freezing, fire, hail, flood and irrigation water supply failures caused by natural events.
