Biden drops out of race for president, endorses Harris

Says decision is 'in the best interest of my party and the country'

President Joe Biden announced Sunday that he was dropping his re-election bid and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to replace him on top of the Democratic ticket. Biden said he would finish out his term.
