WASHINGTON, Dec. 11, 2023 — Agri-Pulse Communications, Inc., is pleased to announce that Akiva’ Rooks has joined the digital media company as an executive assistant for Agri-Pulse Founder and CEO Sara Wyant.
“We are excited to have Akiva’ join us and support our farm and rural policy reporting, as well as our meetings and events,” Wyant says. “With her previous experience supporting leadership teams, she will be extremely helpful as we continue to expand our coverage of agriculture, food, and rural policy issues.”
Born and raised in Baltimore, Akiva’ Rooks is a passionate visionary and creator specializing in various communication and project management fields.
Her professional experience includes working with corporations such as BET Plus, McDonald Hopkins Law Firm, and nonprofit organizations like the Anti-Defamation League. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University and is currently working toward a Master of Science in IT: Project Management.
She's also the founder of a non-profit brand named I'll Keep Her, where she encourages creating a more enhanced quality of life through self-care, self-love, and self-awareness. She is passionate about breaking barriers to create a healthier footprint in the African-American community regarding the knowledge and habits of the food industry.
Akiva' is interested in holistic food remedies and rituals in hopes of bringing more creative initiatives to the agriculture landscape. In addition to enjoying reading, journaling, live music, and spending time enhancing her personal development creatively, Akiva' dreams of one day owning a vineyard.
