The California Department of Food and Agriculture is accepting grant applications for the Alternative Manure Management Program (AMMP) and Dairy Digester Research and Development Program (DDRDP), administered by its Office of Environmental Farming and Innovation (OEFI). The agency is also hosting webinars to assist applicants. CDFA’s dairy methane reduction programs provide financial assistance for the installation of dairy digesters and implementation of non-digester-based manure management practices that result in long-term methane emissions reductions and maximize environmental co-benefits. These programs are funded through a $32 million appropriation from the California State Budget, authorized by the Budget Act of 2021.
