WASHINGTON, Oct. 25, 2017 - The U.S. Trade Representative’s Office is a step closer to having a new chief agriculture negotiator. This, after the Senate Finance Committee on Tuesday approved Gregg Doud, a former chief economist for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, for the position unanimously in a voice vote. The nomination now goes to the full Senate.
