WASHINGTON, Oct. 11, 2017 - The past week marked the first-ever shipment of American crude oil to India, but it will not be the last. Exports from Louisiana and Texas are reportedly the result of talks between President Trump and India’s Prime Minister Modi in late June. “This event represents the growing energy partnership between the U.S. and India, and I look forward to exploring new opportunities to expand the role of reliable, responsible, and efficient energy sources with our allies,” said Energy Secretary Rick Perry. More shipments are expected in the coming months.
