2021 Food & Ag Policy Summit West
It is no secret that California is an agricultural powerhouse with the ability to grow over 400 different commodities valued at more than $50 billion. But with droughts, water restraints, labor shortages, wildfires and one of the most complex regulatory systems in the country, how long can the nation’s top agricultural producer remain competitive?
“That’s the focus of our Agri-Pulse Food and Ag Policy Summit,” says Agri-Pulse Editor Sara Wyant. “We plan to bring together state and federal policymakers, leaders of food companies and agribusinesses, as well as economists, to take a holistic look at some of the costs and challenges ahead. Plus, we’ll talk to a diverse group of younger producers who are seeking their own competitive edge as they try to navigate this challenging environment.”
The event will offer a full-day of speeches and panel discussions, with both in-person and virtual attendance options at the Sheraton Grande Sacramento on July 12, 2021. Agri-Pulse is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic, and the event will follow all state and local directives and health measures. Review the COVID-19 guidelines for the Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel.
