WASHINGTON, Dec. 4, 2023 — Agri-Pulse Communications, Inc., is launching a third season of its award-winning Deep Dive podcast to offer listeners unique insights on key subjects shaping the current farm and policy landscape.
The five-part podcast series will focus on “Five Farm and Food Policy Drivers,” including in-depth looks at the Commodity Credit Corporation and the fund’s use during the Trump Administration, the impact of various animal health emergencies, the shifts in agricultural risk management, the evolution of agricultural finance and how conservation policy’s role in farm policy since the days of Hugh Hammond Bennett.
“As we head into deliberations on the next farm bill and the upcoming election season, we wanted to make sure our listeners have a firm foundation on the rationale for the current farm and food policy framework we see today,” said Agri-Pulse Founder and President Sara Wyant. “These episodes will offer a comprehensive look at the past, present and future of some of the biggest issues facing American agriculture.”
Agri-Pulse Managing Editor Spencer Chase will host and produce the series, which will feature excerpts from dozens of interviews with farm and food policy leaders from coast to coast. The series will begin with a special 60-minute exploration into the history of the CCC and how various administrations have put it to use; other episodes will offer 30-minute explorations of the subject matter.
