House Agriculture Committee Chairman David Scott, D-Ga., will be joined by a cross-section of distinguished industry leaders for an April 23 webinar to discuss “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Agriculture: Ideas for Improvement.” This is the first in a series of discussions sponsored by the Corn Refiners Association.
“I’ve had numerous discussions with farmers and trade organization leaders since we first published an article on this subject last year,” said Agri-Pulse Editor Sara Wyant. “Everyone seems to recognize that the agriculture community can do better with their efforts on diversity and inclusion and many have taken positive steps to do so. However, this challenge calls for an ongoing discussion that brings many different perspectives to the table.”
Wyant will serve as moderator for the first webinar on April 23 at 11 a.m. EDT. To register for the free event, click here.
“We are honored to have Chairman Scott’s leadership for this important webinar. America’s corn refiners have a long, deep commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in their businesses. We are enthusiastic about our association working with others in the food and agriculture community to build progress in this essential cause,” said John Bode, president and CEO of the CRA.
