WASHINGTON, June 19, 2013 - The House is expected to consider a rule today that would allow 103 amendments to its five-year farm bill (H.R. 1947) and then begin debate on amendments.

The House Rules Committee approved late last night, by voice vote, a structured rule late that will allow for 10 minutes of debate for most of the amendments on the House floor, and no additional general debate.

The original plan has been to get the bill through the House by Thursday, but a final vote may slip into next week.
