Washington, April 16 - House Agriculture Committee Chairman Collin Peterson (D-MN) discussed preparations for the 2012 Farm Bill, prospects for higher ethanol blends and for his legislation to expand ag exports to Cuba during a nearly 50 minute question-and-answer session with reporters Friday.

Peterson announced an aggressive hearing schedule for the next Farm Bill, beginning with two sessions in Washington over the next three weeks followed by ten field hearings in May and June in Pennsylvania, Iowa, Idaho, California, Wyoming, Georgia, Alabama, Texas and South Dakota.  Senior Editor Stewart Doan has a recap of Peterson's comments.
